Progress report

No pictures I'm afraid but a brief progress report. The "Sherwood Forest" fair isle hat that I cast on for on Monday night was finished as of Thursday afternoon. You've got to love chunky wool for quick knitting. I'll cast on for another one soon - I think these are going to be Christmas gift staples, as they're quicker than Booga Bags, and more fun to knit, and pretty unisex too.

And I picked up the long neglected Wavy scarf, which has now increased in length from 2 "waves" to 4-and-a-bit waves. So nearly halfway there. I'm resisting casting on for another pair of socks, or anything else, until I get this finished - plus there's all the lace-type stuff I started and then abandoned.

Self-discipline and finishing things will be the goals of the week. Then I have to sit down and make out a Christmas list, figure out who's getting what, what I have in my stash, and how much time I'm going to need between now and December to get stuff done!

Ok, I'd love to see the wavy scarf done. I'm so a finisher when it comes to knitting.... BUT you do realize that it's October? If you have to send overseas you're going to have to get any knitting that goes there done really soon.... Not to pressure you or anything LOL. No more socks young lady until you get your holiday gifts done! (wagging my finger at you in my best mom voice) (snicker)

Oh, i'm right there with you trying not to cast on new projects until i have the current ones done!! I still have yet to finish the last two rows on Conner's sweater sleeve and then do the blocking, etc. I'm quite engrossed in dishcloth making and will be for a while with the Bazaar coming up and a swap i'm a part of so that's taking most of my knitting time right now...however, my feet were cold the other day and i did dig out my sock and Deb's woolie i was working on and toss then into the bag...shhh!!!
